University of Oklahoma’s chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is under intense scrutiny after this video went viral of some of its reported members chanting “There Will Never Be A N*gger in SAE”. Take a look at the video below: (Warning: Rude and Offensive Language)

The University of Oklahoma’s President David Boren has commented on the situation.

“To those who have misused their free speech in such a reprehensible way, I have a message for you. You are disgraceful. You have violated all that we stand for. You should not have the privilege of calling yourself ‘Sooners.'”

President Boren also addressed how the school is going to set a precedence for the nation on how to handle situations like this. “There must be zero tolerance for racism everywhere in our nation.” Boren’s comments are agreed upon by many.

Covering this situation from the beginning has been Heather Hope. @HeatherHopeTV has been covering the situation and posting live updates on her newsfeed (make sure to follow her for quick updates). Ms. Hope tweeted about how last night the frat house of SAE was vandalized with phrase “Tear It Down”.

She also tweeted about the police showing up to protect and help the young men of SAE (hmmm).

Can we get real for a second? This situation is not surprising or shocking. If it is shocking to you, then you obviously live in this facade of America. Racism definitely exists.

The Shade Room posted about this and here are some of the remarks from their followers:

It’s sad that these things still go on, but what’s even more sad is pretending like they don’t. This is still a developing story, so we’ll keep you updated!
