#TopTeaMoments: Jazmine Sullivan’s Return

Jazmine Sullivan’s return to the music game was everything. She took a few years off for personal reasons and returned in the summer of 2014 with her hit single “Dumb” ft. Meek Mill. She followed “Dumb” with the soulful “Forever Don’t Last.”

Jazmine’s third studio album, Reality Show, was released in January of 2015. Every song on the album was fire, but my favorite three were “Mascara,” “Let It Burn,” and “Masterpiece.” Reality Show was easily one of the best albums of the year. If Black R&B artists got as much play as soulful White singers, Jazmine would be a studied worldwide phenomenon. She’s still pretty well known. Jazmine runs like the living water and her tone is raspy perfection. What Jazmine does with music is often imitated but never duplicated.

Jazmine’s latest project has earned her three Grammy nods for the 2016 show! Congrats to her!

Her music is easily one of our #TopTeaMoments!
