Tamar Braxton Shares The Perfect “Pick Me Up”

While “My Man” is still taking over the airwaves, Tamar Braxton releases an energetic “Pick Me Up” from her forthcoming LP Bluebird of Happiness.

Brilliantly sampling Evelyn “Champagne” King’s hit song “Love Come Down,” Braxton serves up summertime vocals over the two-step track.

“Your my little pick me up / whenever I’m feeling down / I don’t need no other drug / I got what I need right now,” sings Braxton. The song is undoubtedly a nod to her husbandger (husband + manager) Vincent Herbert.

Braxton’s 5th LP became available for pre-order on Friday, September 15th. Those who pre-ordered instantly got “My Man” and “Pick Me Up.” Snippets of all the songs can also be heard on iTunes. Fans can expect another song next week as Braxton plans to release something new every Friday until the album drops.

According to Braxton, this is her best work yet and also her last. She hasn’t clarified her comment yet, but as it stands this may be the last musical project we get from Tamar.

Bluebird of Happiness will be available everywhere on September 29th.
