Was Tamar Braxton Really Fired from ‘The Real’?

The rumor mill was busy on Saturday. Love B. Scott exclusively confirmed that Tamar Braxton has allegedly been fired from the Emmy-nominated daytime talk show The Real. According to Scott’s post, Tamar is no longer apart of the co-host line up. She posted that her team received an exclusive from someone at The Real:

Tamar Braxton just got fired from ‘The Real.’ She wasn’t reading too well with the audience and sales people didn’t find her to be a good fit with advertisers. She was also too difficult dealing with production.

She wasn’t reading too well with the audience? That doesn’t make any sense. Tamar may be disliked by people, but her supporters immensely out weigh the people who don’t support her. While Tamera Mowry-Housley may be beating Tamar with her amount of followers, Tamar is still millions ahead of her other cohosts, so it doesn’t seem likely that sales couldn’t make her work with advertisers. Next, it’s her personality and coined “over-the-top” personality that made her one of the five ladies on the show to begin with. If anything, she has matured since she’s been on the show. And why we don’t all go behind the scenes of The Real, it’s been said many times that Tamar is the first to arrive at the show, be mic’d, and ready to rehearse, so I need more than just difficult to deal with.

Now many people are also speculating that it has to do with the shade that’s thrown between Tamar and Jeannie Mai, but I think the shade is people reading into a dynamic they don’t understand. Yes, it’s been obvious at time that there was a disconnect between the two hosts, but they seem to genuinely be great friends outside of the show. When Tamar was sick, Jeannie was apart of the crew that went to Tamar’s house.

Let’s not mention the fact that Tamar, Jeannie, Vince, and Freddie, recently went on a couples vacation. It wasn’t plastered all over social media, but the couples reportedly went to Las Vegas.

What sparked the conversation about Tamar being fired from The Real was a cryptic post she put up earlier on Instagram in where she wrote, “I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (?) and it’s not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own.” Obviously she is talking about Vince as her man, but it’s not clear which set of sisters she is referring to. She could be talking about the Braxtons, the ladies at The Real, or the ladies at The Real that didn’t allegedly betray her. Check out her full post below:

I love u all but I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted ( not my man or my sisters) I am not about to be tried and tested to snitch (?) and it's not in good taste to tell you who…… but as #tamartians you are very smart and can figure things out on your own. But know that every one who smiles in your face is NOT your friend and is NOT cheering for you and will LIE and try and tear u down to TRY and dim your light. Thank GOD HE HOLDS MY FUTURE AND MY HAND! (Remember who u are)….I am Tamar Braxton. And if you thought for 1 sec u played me…..In the late great prince and the amazing Beyoncé voice you PLAYED yourself? to God be the Glory and I will be taking a short break from ALL social media…until then❤️ yourself and WATCH YOUR BACK ( I put this picture up cause this is the embrace I got from my sister and best friend that she ALWAYS gives when she knows I've been had)

Before Love B. Scott put up her post about Tamar being fired from The Real, Tamar’s fans automatically assumed that April Daniels had something to do with Tamar’s post. During Tamar & Vince it was stated that the Daniels didn’t come see Tamar while she was sick. The show appeared to show something different, and many fans were left confused at Tamar’s comment on April and LaShawn, but this time Tamar’s comment has nothing to do with the Daniels. LaShawn, April’s husband and grammy-award winning songwriter, took to Instagram to clear up the situation and defend his wife.

I guess it’s important to note that Tamar does not follow Jeannie Mai or Loni Love on Instagram, but I’m not 100% sure she ever did. They both still follow her, and Loni seems to be confused as the rest of us. She recently posted on Twitter about the situation: (on IG the caption says “But when I do”)

No one has released an official statement regarding the situation, so everything at this point is speculation. If Loni and Jeannie did have something to do with Tamar being fired, the show will never be the same. If they didn’t and Tamar allows them to be ridiculed for something they didn’t do, then there’s blame for her to take. Either way, this all seems crazy. If one of the cohosts exited from the show, that would be different, but one of them being fired almost destroys the authenticity of The Real.

Fans have weighed in on if they’ll continue to watch the show if Tamar is departing. On Smooth R&B 105.7‘s post a follower said that she was kind of embarrassing for being too much, but another follower quickly responded with a sentiment I share. Check it out below:

In the past rumors have broken out about the ladies being against Tamar, but it has always been cleared up. Something in the water ain’t right. It’s not all adding up. There’s something missing. My guess is that it’s unlikely that Tamar was fired, but you never know. With the information above, what do you guys think?
