Rickey Smiley Daughter Shot During Road Rage Incident; In Recovery

During Monday’s episode of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, comedian Rickey Smiley revealed his daughter Aaryn was shot in Houston Sunday night while going to get food from Whataburger.

“I go to bed around 8:30 or 9 o’clock, and I woke up to text messages,” explained Smiley.

Aaryn was allegedly the victim of a road rage shooting. She was shot three times. Two other victims in the car were also shot.

“The fact that she’s laying up in the hospital and probably going to have to go into surgery. She’s just crying. She’s scared. I can’t get to her, and I just hate it,” said Smiley.

According to ABC 13 Houston, investigators say the victim’s car, a black Infiniti, was at a red light when the suspect pulled up to it and opened fire.

Police don’t have any information on the suspect or suspects or the vehicle they were driving.

Smiley’s daughter Aaryn had to undergo surgery. Her operation was successful and she’s in recovery.

Smiley is currently on his way to Houston.

All three victims are expected to survive. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
