King has won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, Independent Spirit Award, the prestigious National Board of Review award and three Emmy Awards with her latest being for her lead role in the limited Netflix series Seven Seconds.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the Netflix family,” King says. “They are at the top of their game and as an artist I am so excited to come play in this wonderful sandbox they have created for storytellers.”

Joining the likes of Shonda Rhimes, Kenya Barris and Barack and Michelle Obama, King is definitely in good company. Congratulations Regina!
