President Obama Delivering Farewell Speech Tonight

Tonight at 9pm EST President Barack Obama will deliver his final address as the President of the United States of America in his hometown Chicago. Last week President Obama announced his farewell speech.

“On Tuesday, January 10, I’ll go home to Chicago to say my grateful farewell to you, even if you can’t be there in person. I’m just beginning to write my remarks. But I’m thinking about them as a chance to say thank you for this amazing journey, to celebrate the ways you’ve changed this country for the better these past eight years, and to offer some thoughts on where we all go from here…I hope you’ll join me one last time. Because for me, it’s always been about you.” – President Obama

Tonight is going to be sad, but at least BET is doing the right thing. Being Mary Jane’s new season was originally set to premiere tonight at 9pm EST, but the premiere has been pushed back an hour so that all the focus can be on our incredible president.

President Obama’s legacy will extend far past him being the first African-American president. He’s been an incomparable leader. Who will be tuning in our POTUS’ farewell speech?
