Rapper Pop Smoke Reportedly Killed In Apparent Home Invasion

Rapper Pop Smoke was reportedly killed during an home invasion Wednesday morning.

According to TMZ, the New York native was at a home in the Hollywood Hills at around 4:30 AM when two men broke into the house. The men reportedly fired multiple shots critically wounding Smoke before fleeing on foot.

Smoke was then rushed by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood where he was pronounced dead.

Smoke’s, born Bashar Barakah Jackson, released his hit single “Welcome To The Party” last April . It spawned remixes with Nicki Minaj and Skepta and quickly became a song of the summer.

He followed his single with his debut mixtape Meet the Woo. The rising entertainer released his second mixtape Meet the Woo 2 less than two weeks ago. It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Pop Smoke was 20.
