Jennifer Holliday, Loretta Devine, and Sheryl Lee Ralph all came together again as the Dreamgirls to celebrate the production’s 35th anniversary. As you can see, the ladies look amazing.
Broadway World reported that the production was put on by Chris Isaacson. The press release was as follows: “Chris Isaacson presents Broadway Under the Stars, an evening featuring songs from some of the most beloved musicals of our time. Celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Tony Award-winning musical Dreamgirls, its original stars – Independent Spirit Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph, Emmy Award-winner Loretta Devine, and Tony Award-winner and 2x Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Holliday, will reunite onstage for conversation and song.”
Dreamgirls was adapted into a film in 2006 starring Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Anika Noni Rose, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, and more. The film collected countless awards.
