Update: Reports confirm that 3 are now dead, and that one of the dead is the shooter.

Original Story: Around 7:30 pm CST the Lafayette Police Department received a call and responded to a shooting at the Grand Theater in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Current reports are saying that 2 people died and that 8 people were wounded. Authorities believe that one of the dead is the gunman.

According to Yahoo News, the local Advertiser newspaper reported that the gunfire broke out during a 7 p.m. showing of the film “Train Wreck.”

Witness Katie Domingue told the paper that the gunman was an older white man who stood up in the theater and began shooting. “He wasn’t saying anything. I didn’t hear anybody screaming either,” Domingue said.
