Mo’Nique Lands Hour Long Comedy Special with Showtime

Mo’Nique is back. The comedian and actress has landed an hour long comedy special with Showtime. It’ll mark the first stand-up special she’s hosted in almost 10 years.

“They tried to shut a b*tch out,” said Mo’Nique in the special’s teaser. “They tried to make a b*tch disappear. But you can’t keep a good b*tch down.”

Mo’Nique & Friends: Live from Atlanta will feature Mo’Nique and some of her hilarious new faces.

The special stars Prince T-Dub, Just Nesh, Tone-X, Correy Bell and veteran comedian Donnell Rawlings.

The announcement comes day after Netflix filed a motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Mo’Nique in November against the company citing discrimination.

But like Mo’Nique said, you can’t keep a good b*tch down.

Mo’Nique & Friends: Live from Atlanta is executive produced by Mo’Nique and her husband Sidney Hicks and produced by Matt Schuler, Eric Abrams and V.W. Scheich.

It premieres Friday, February 7 at 10/9c on Showtime.
