Megan Thee Stallion revealed on Wednesday she suffered gunshot wounds in a targeted hit that transpired Sunday morning.
In a statement shared on her social pages, the Houston rapper said the narrative that’s being reported is false.
“On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,” shared Megan.
In her statement, she clarified that she was never arrested and that officers drove her to the hospital where she underwent surgery to remove the bullets.
The original narrative reported was that Megan and rapper Torey Lanez were arrested outside a house party Sunday.
According to NBC, Lanez was indeed arrested for having a concealed weapon in a vehicle.
Megan however was not. It was also initially reported that she injured her foot with glass, but those reports were inaccurate as well.
According to TMZ, authorities have confirmed that Megan was a victim in the incident.
The Savage rapper is expected to make a full recovery.
