Jimmy Kimmel’s Question About Trump Stumps Kanye West

Kanye West appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about Donald Trump, his album, designing, being himself and more, but one question from Kimmel left the rapper stumped.

Kimmel initiated the dialogue about Trump asking West how he felt about his wife, Kim Kardashian, visiting and convincing the president to grant clemency to Alice Johnson.

After West proudly championed his wife, Kimmel then began asking West about his personal feelings for the sitting president.

“Everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me,” said West. “And then told me every time I said I like Trump that I couldn’t say it out loud, or my career would be over.”

West continued explaining that announcing he supported Trump represented overcoming fear and standing up to bullies who attempted to dictate he couldn’t.

As the conversation continues, West brings up his TMZ interview (two claps for Van Lathan) saying his main point in all of this is trying love. Kimmel then countered his statement asking West why he believes Trump cares for anyone, and he didn’t have an answer.

Kimmel went to break while West sat there unable to respond and when the conversation continued, it was never picked back up.

The rest of the interview includes Kanye talking about his favorite categories on PornHub, designing clothes with his daughter, being bipolar, releasing multiple projects this summer and more.
