Jay-Z Decides To Bail Out Fathers For Father’s Day

Shawn Carter aka Jay-Z made headlines this week for welcoming twins with his wife Beyoncé; however, it’s not the only notable feat he accomplished this week.

In an article on Time, Carter wrote that he was bailing out fathers to commemorate Father’s Day. As he writes, his work on the docuseries Time: The Kalief Browder Story made him obsessed with the injustice of the profitable bail bond industry

“This Father’s Day, I’m supporting those same organizations to bail out fathers who can’t afford the due process our democracy promises,” wrote Carter. “As a father with a growing family, it’s the least I can do, but philanthropy is not a long fix, we have to get rid of these inhumane practices altogether.”

Thanks Jay-Z for pouring back into the community!
