Will Smith Reunites ‘Fresh Prince’ Cast on ‘Will From Home’

Will Smith reunited with his fellow cast members from the 90s phenomenon The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on his Snapchat series Will From Home.

The first episode premiered Wednesday on Snapchat, and the second will premiere Thursday, April 30, at 6 a.m. EST.

The two-part special, ahead of the Fresh Prince’s 30th anniversary this September, features appearances by Smith, Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell, and DJ Jazzy JeffThere will also be a tribute to the late James Avery, who played Phillip Banks or as we all know him, Uncle Phil.

Jeff, who’s recovering from double-pneumonia likely resulting from COVID-19, appeared to be in great spirits and progressing well.

In a clip from the special, Jeff jokingly discussed his annoyance with people wanting to do the handshake his character and Will did on the show.

In another clip released, Smith revealed how Ribeiro convinced him to use Will Smith for his character’s name.

“It was such a deep insight that you had,” said Smith. “You said, ‘Because people are going to call you that for the rest of your life.'”

In the first episode, the cast also discussed adjusting to quarantine. They reviewed clips from the series. And Smith and Ali discussed her Harvard education.

Will From Home launched in early April and has featured Tyra Banks, his son Jaden, Dr. Fauci and many others.
