Fran Drescher in Talks with Cardi B’s Representation About ‘The Nanny’ Reboot

Fran Drescher is in talks with Cardi B’s representation to have the rapper play her daughter in a reboot of her hit 90s show The Nanny.

Drescher got the idea to reboot the show with Cardi after Cardi posted an Instagram picture wearing animal print captioning it, “Fran Drescher in @dolcegabbana” which paid homage to Drescher’s character from the show, Fran Fine.

While appearing on The Real last week, Drescher said she loves Cardi B.

“It kind of got my creative juices going,” said Drescher referencing Cardi’s post. “She has a funny voice too. I thought, you know, she could like play my daughter.”

Soon after Drescher’s interview, Cardi shared a clip of it on her Instagram page saying, “IM WITH IT!!!” And the ball has been rolling ever since.

Drescher is now making moves to make the reboot with Cardi a reality. Watch her talk about it with Extra’s Mario Lopez below:

While visiting E News Daily Pop, Drescher explained how she envisions Cardi being the nanny and playing Cardi’s mom instead of being the nanny again herself.

It seems like Fran Drescher and Cardi B may be coming to our screens soon. Keep your fingers crossed.
