Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj have both landed their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with “Say So.”
In one of the recent most-watched No. 1 competitions, “Say So” earned the spot over Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage” which landed at No. 2.
Both songs saw great gains from their respective remixes with Minaj hopping on Doja’s “Say So” and Beyoncé joining Megan’s “Savage.” The gains earned both Minaj and Beyoncé credit on the chart.
Doja and Minaj are the sixth solo women to hit No. 1 with a collaboration and the first to do so with two female rappers.
The entry marks Doja’s fourth on the Hot 100 chart. Her previous entries include “Juicy” ft. Tyga at No. 41, “Candy” at No. 86 and “Boss Bitch” at 100.
According to Billboard, “Say So” is Minaj’s 109th entry on the Hot 100, tying her with Elvis Presley for fourth-most of all time.
She’s come close to earning No. 1’s with several songs including “Anaconda” at No. 2, “Super Bass” at No. 3 and “Bang Bang” at No. 3. alongside Ariana Grande and Jessie J.
“Savage” is Megan’s highest entry on the Hot 100 chart. Her second highest entry is “Hot Girl Summer” ft. Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign at No. 11.
And according to Chart Data, Beyoncé is now the first artist to earn new top 10 hits across the last four decades: 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.
Drake also made history on the chart this week with his 38th top ten entry, “Pain 1983” ft. Playboi Carti, tying Madonna for the most of all time.
