Clemson’s defensive lineman Christian Wilkins is under fire for inappropriately groping Ohio State’s running back Curtis Samuel during the 2016 Fiesta Bowl. Wilkins issued an apology after the game, yet the video has still gone viral. R&B singer Tank posted the footage on his Instagram account questioning the occurrence.

Wilkins said to ESPN’s David Hale that he was just being silly. “I was being silly, and I apologize for that,” Wilkins said to Hale. “It’s stuff you do when you’re competing, and I know that’s not a good look. I apologize for that, and I shook hands with him after the game. There was no hard feelings.”
Curtis Samuel took to Twitter saying he didn’t feel Wilkins touching him, and that if he had, the situation would’ve played out differently.
If I would of felt that I would of got ejected!! #sweetness @cwilkins42

Some users on social media have said that this is an underground tactic used in football often, but most have completely denounced his actions. Should Wilkins be penalized for groping Samuel?
