Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Reportedly Commits Suicide

Linkin Park’s frontman Chester Bennington has committed suicide according to TMZ.

Law enforcement officers reportedly informed TMZ that the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM.

According to People, the rock frontman was a close friend of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell—who also committed suicide by hanging in May—and spoke at his funeral. Bennington’s body was found on what would have been Cornell’s 53rd birthday.

Linkin Park is a well known rock band after their 2000 single “In The End” and hit joint EP with Jay-Z Collision Course in 2004.

Bennington is survived by a wife and six children. Please keep his family and friends in your prayer.
