Brandy Released From Hospital And Resting At Home

Earlier today news broke that the R&B sensation Brandy Norwood was rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness onboard a flight at LAX. She’s since been released.

According to the Los Angeles World Airports Police, officers and firefighter-paramedics responded around 7 a.m. to a report of a person who was “unconscious or almost unconscious” shortly after boarding a Delta Airlines plane. The aircraft had not yet departed the gate when Delta employees called authorities.  She was fully conscious by the time she was escorted onto the jetway, police said.

ABC News is now reporting that Brandy is resting at home. According to a statement from her publicist, Norwood has taken more than 10 flights in recent days as part of an ongoing tour and needs a break. Additionally, the singer was apparently in the studio all night until it was time for her to leave for the airport this morning to catch an early-morning flight.

“The stress of all of the traveling and working so incessantly has exhausted her,” the rep said. “She will be relaxing for the next few days.”
