The R&B super star Brandy will be honored at the upcoming Soul Train Awards. She will be the second artist to receive the Lady of Soul Award following Jill Scott.
The Grammy Award winner has been in the entertainment game for over two decades. She’s released six albums and sold over 40 million records worldwide. She’s starred in Zoe Ever After, The Game, and her hit UPN series Moesha. She’s been in several movies including the highly regarded television adaptation of Cinderella also starring the late Whitney Houston. And most recently the songstress has starred in the Broadway play Chicago and released a single titled “Beggin & Pleadin”.
She’s an incredible singer, and her style inspired an entire generation of upcoming singers. She’s more than deserving over this award. She’s not called The Vocal Bible for just anything! Congratulations BRocka!
The Soul Train Awards, hosted by Erykah Badu, will tape on November 6th and air on the 27th.
