Beyoncé’s Love Letter to Africa Has Arrived

Beyoncé has done it again.

Following her surprise live album from Beychella, Homecoming: The Live Album, her newest project The Lion King: The Gift has arrived.

The project she describes as a love letter to Africa, is a musical ode to the classic story of Disney’s The Lion King.

Executive produced by the global superstar, the afrocentric album pulled in some of the hottest talent from Africa and America including her husband Jay-Z, co-star Childish Gambino, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tierra Whack, Kendrick Lamar, Tiwa Savage and more.

Prior to the release of the album, Beyoncé released a video for the project’s lead single “Spirit,” and has since dropped a video that adds on visuals for “Bigger.”

Combining the sounds of American Hip-Hop, Afropop and more, Beyoncé made an anthem to talk your smack to like “Mood 4 Eva” and another to uplift our beautiful brown girls.

The project is so rich, it’ll take time to properly unravel the genius that jumped out.
