Beyoncé is coming for her Oscar. The superstar released a new single “Spirit” that’ll be featured in The Lion King, the film’s soundtrack and the album she executive produced and curated, The Lion King: The Gift.

In the Gospel-esque single that invites us all to the motherland, Beyoncé shines in her lower register and falsetto as the heavens lyrically and literally open. And the backgrounds, stellar.

According to Disney’s announcement, “Spirit” appears in The Lion King during a pivotal scene with Beyoncé’s character, Nala. The song was written for the film by IIya Salmanzadeh, Timothy McKenzie and Beyoncé and produced by Beyoncé and IIya and Labrinth.

The single is already receiving praise for it’s Oscar worthiness and amazingness.

Stream “Spirit” here now: An early congrats to Queen Bey.
