Beyoncé Signs Publishing Deal with Sony/ATV

B7 is coming. Beyoncé has signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing according to Variety.

The global superstar and Jay-Z have a long and close relationship with with Jon Platt, who became chairman and CEO of Sony/ATV in 2019.

Platt’s latest feats include bringing over Rihanna to Sony/ATV last fall.

In October 2018, Platt was honored at the annual City of Hope Spirit of Life dinner. During that night, Beyoncé performed and she praised Platt.

“I’m so honored to celebrate you tonight,” Beyoncé said. “Most people in this industry lead with their ego, but you lead with your heart. You’ve touched so many lives, mine included.”

At the same event, Platt also saluted Beyoncé saying, “She leads by example. She shows all of us how to dream big.”

In other news for the singer, Beyoncé’s Adidas x Ivy Park collection sold out in mere minutes online. The highly anticipated collaboration may still have select pieces available in Adidas and Nordstrom stores.
