Houston artists Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion will be honored with days in Htown for supporting the city’s COVID-19 relief efforts with their “Savage” remix.
“Because of both artists contributions to uplifting our communities […], our city will present [them] with their own respective days,” shared Houston’s Mayor Sylvester Turner on Twitter.
It’s great to see proceeds from the single’s purchase will support Bread of Life. Let’s purchase & support this organization’s efforts.

I look forward to connecting with both artists teams to find the appropriate time to make these requests a reality. st #HoustonStrong (2/2)
Beyoncé hopped on Megan’s hit single “Savage” for an official remix released Wednesday. All artists’ proceeds from the single are going go to Bread of Life Houston to support the city during the pandemic.
The remix has soared to top of multiple charts with many touting it as a reminiscent of remixes released “back in the day.”
Mayor Turner credited his daughter for informing him about the single and how it’ll benefit Houston.
I appreciate my daughter, Ashley Turner, for encouraging and informing me about about the launch of the single and how the proceeds would benefit one of our local organizations who does great work.
