Beyoncé Joins the Obamas for YouTube’s Virtual Grad Event

Beyoncé has joined an all-star lineup of commencement speakers for YouTube’s virtual graduation event, Dear Class of 2020.

Headlined by President Barack Obama and our Forever First Lady Michelle Obama, the commencement speakers also include BTS, Lady Gaga and Sec. Condoleeza Rice.

Chloe x Halle, who are signed to Beyoncé’s label, will be performing during the festival-style event. Other performers include BTS, Doja Cat, Lizzo and Megan Thee Stallion.

In addition to the speakers and performers, the event will feature special appearances by Janelle Monáe, Billy Porter, Yara Shahidi, Jackie Aina, Alicia Keys, Ciara and Russell Wilson, Kerry Washington, Zendaya and more.

Graduates wanting to participate in Dear Class of 2020 can upload a video to dearclassof2020.net/ by Friday, May 22.

The live-streamed event kicks off on Saturday, June 6, at 2 pm EST with a full hour of programming from Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative. Dear Class of 2020 will commence right after 3 pm EST.
