Beyoncé Announces Formation Scholars Award for Conscious Women

Beyoncé is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her visual album Lemonade with a scholarship *yas Bey*. The multi Grammy award winning artist announced the Formation Scholars award on her website today (04/25/17).

The Formation Scholars will award scholarships to female incoming, current or graduate students pursuing studies in creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies. It was created to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident.

There were only four schools selected to participate in scholarship: Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College. Four scholarships will be awarded, one per college, for the 2017-2018 academic year.

According to Beyoncé’s site, all details and application deadlines are available directly from the selected colleges. Ladies, don’t miss this opportunity if you’re eligible! #GetInFormation
