The world-renowned Howard Gospel Choir was recently extended an invitation to perform at The White House. Yesterday the choir performed during President Obama’s last Easter Prayer Breakfast. The choir was also the musical guest for the Easter Prayer Breakfast in 2015 at The White House. It’s definitely an honor to be invited back-to-back!

The choir was directed by Assistant Director Darrell Brown who recently released a full-length album titled Let Your Glory Reign with his group Darrell Brown Ministries. The choir first sung Even Me”‬ by Michael Reid. Following two scripture readings, the choir sung “Total Praise” by the talented Alum of the choir, Richard Smallwood. The White House streamed part of the Easter Prayer Breakfast, and the stream caught the choir singing “Even Me.” Check it out below:

The Howard Gospel Choir is also gearing up to release their first full length album in 20 years. The new project titled Glorious God was recorded live in Cramton Auditorium on Howard University’s campus in the fall of 2014. The entire album is amazing, trust me. You can keep up with the release of the album by liking the choir’s Facebook page here (Howard Gospel Choir of Howard University) and by visiting their website at howardgopselchoir.com. You can also check out the official flyer for the project below:
