Tamar Braxton is baaaack! The Grammy Award nominated singer dropped her new single “My Man” Thursday, April 27th at midnight on iTunes.
The R&B ballad is inspired by her parents who divorced after it came to light that her father was having an extramarital affair. On an upcoming episode of Braxton Family Values, Tamar tells her mother that she wrote the song channeling how she thought her mother felt in the situation.
This song is classic R&B. Her song is about real life experiences, and the pain can be felt in the words. It’s amazingly written, and Tamar is singing! Check out a snippet of the song below:

Also, Tamar is now essentially an independent artist. She released this song through her new record label Tamartian Land Records. It’s exciting that she’s in full control of her music now.
“My Man” is exclusively available on iTunes right now and will be available on all digital music platforms after Braxton Family Values airs tonight at 9pm EST.
