Ciara’s Back With Jersey Inspired Bop “Level Up”

Time to level up because she’s back! Ciara just released her first song since her 2015 LP Jackie, and it’s the bop we need.

Infused with the Jersey Club sound, “Level Up” finds Ciara back on the dance floor with moves choreographed by Parris Goebel. The song directly references backlash Ciara received earlier this year.

In January, Ciara was criticized for sharing a post that encouraged women to carry themselves like they’re already taken with the caption, “#LevelUp. Don’t Settle.”

Some social users thoughts it was inappropriate for Ciara to tell other women “level up,” but she cleared up her intentions soon after saying that she realized married or not, she needed to love herself first. That was her #LevelUp to be open to her now husband Russell Wilson.

With a new year, new baby, more love for herself and plenty of captionable lyrics, Ciara has indeed Level’d Up. Go head and level up with Cici below:
